A Spring of Sketchfests
It’s been a hilarious start to 2024 and I have had the absolute delight of starting the year with a mini Canadian Sketchfest tour! Starting in June, I’ll be on a Fringe Festival tour for the summer. Here’s a little update on what’s up in the world of Lou. COME SEE SOME SHOWS.
In February, I produced my first comedy game show, Montreal’s Most Delicious Date at the Wiggle Room. Two comedians, one improviser, and one burlesque artist competed to win the title of Montreal’s Most Delicious Date. As host, writer, and producer, I got to welcome the gang into my weird world of what makes Montrealers delicious.
March took me to Toronto for the incredible Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival. Where I got to premiere and perform my 30 minute show, It’s Time to Love Lou Laurence, alongside some amazing acts from across Canada and the US. While in Toronto, I also got to hop on a stand up comedy night at Agenda Cafe and Sketch Night at the Rivoli.
In April, I made my first ever trip to St. John’s for the first ever Newfoundland & Labrador Sketchfest to bring It’s Time to Love Lou Laurence to the East Coast.
Now May is here and I am getting ready for the final Sketchfest of the trio, Montreal Sketchfest! On May 9th I’ll be at Théâtre Ste-Catherine with Tom Hearn and Loose Cannons for a hilarious evening. I’ll be bringing a special 20 minute version of It’s Time to Love Lou Laurence to the hometown audience. Get your tickets here!
After all the Sketchfest fun, I’m hitting the Fringe circuit! I’m so excited to bring Love, Sharks & Frenching: a hot date w/ Lou Laurence to Montreal FRINGE Festival in June, Regina Fringe Festival in July, and Edmonton Fringe w/ Grindstone Comedy in August! Tickets are already on sale for Montreal Fringe (you can find them here).
